Many people try to find resemblance in abstract art with the physical world objects or scenes. Well, what we depict is far beyond physical! We use shapes and colors to create paintings that evoke reactions, emotions, ideas, and impressions without depicting anything recognizable.
Some artists express their inner world, some say they enter in a meditative state while painting and channel energies flowing through them. Some very consciously set the intention, channel the energy and lay out the message in the painting through texture, shape and color.
We make it complex first, then reduce it to simplicity. We know the rules and we break them. The better skills, the finer the art. It takes commitment, devotion, courage and purity.

Those who say "my child could paint the same" need to know that while anyone can physically create marks on a canvas, abstract art involves much more than just the act of painting. It’s all about intention, concept, and the emotional or intellectual expression behind the work.
Do you know why not every skilled artist is able to create good abstract art? Because the academic school cut their wings or they have lost their freedom of expression otherwise. Or maybe they simply have nothing to convey.
The artist might explain that the choices they make in color, form, and composition are deliberate and part of a larger vision or exploration.

Just as a musician doesn’t just hit random notes but creates a composition with purpose, abstract art is a form of communication that often requires deep reflection, training, and experience to master. It’s not just about what is created, but the meaning and context behind it.
The abstract art is not to be seen or analyzed, it is to be felt. Perceive abstract art with your heart! Approach the artwork not just with the mind, but with a deeper, more intuitive part of yourself. We are multidimensional beings and we receive information/energies/ beauty through all our sensors. Abstract art bypasses logical interpretation and speaks directly to our emotions, instincts, and inner states.
When you engage with it through the heart, you are encouraged to let go of the need for literal understanding and instead focus on how the colors, shapes, and forms resonate with you personally.
Rather than asking "What is this?" or "What does this represent?" the viewer is invited to ask, "How does this make me feel?" or "What does this stir within me?"
Abstract art doesn’t need to be decoded - its meaning can unfold in a visceral, emotional way. The heart can sense the energy or mood of the piece, whether it's the sense of chaos, harmony, joy, or melancholy.

Just as music can evoke feelings without using words, abstract art taps into our emotions in a way that doesn’t rely on traditional narrative.
This kind of perception allows us to connect with the work on a more personal and profound level, inviting each viewer to bring their own experiences, feelings, and interpretations to the art.
Abstract art is less about definition and more about an ongoing, emotional conversation between the artwork and the viewer’s own inner world.
